The story “The Command of the Heart” by the outstanding statesman and public figure, renowned writer Sharof Rashidov, is based on material completely new to Uzbek prose. The story takes place in the small village of Berezovka in the Novgorod region. The author transports us to the difficult war period, introducing us to the places where he fought during the struggle against fascism. Originally published in 1983, “The Command of the Heart” is a rare work that serves the cause of instilling patriotism in our youth. The story was published on April 27, 2021 in a print run of 1,000 copies in the Uzbek language.
